Throughout recent months, the ongoing global pandemic has restricted our everyday movements in a number of different ways, in order to maintain the health of the general public. The majority of the population have been forbidden to attend their current jobs and work placements temporarily, which has created a number of additional finical problems that many British families will have to face during the upcoming weeks. Many employees have even received the unfortunate news, that they have been (or are soon to) be made redundant, forcing thousands of families to be unemployed over the winter season.

However, Christmas is soon approaching and there is no doubt that in most family’s pockets strings may become a litter tighter than usual, leaving very little room for the costs of the traditional holiday that will celebrate this year according the latest lockdown restrictions. Additionally, in spite of the ever-growing expenses that could cast a somewhat negative outlook on this year’s festivities, job sites such as ‘Indeed’ and ‘CV Library’ have fortunately found a way to be able to cater to the needs of anyone looking for work during this season; as there are over 100,000 jobs available on these sites combined that are continuous updated each week.

The fields of work which currently hold the majority of vacancies, include Hospitality, Retail and Health Care. These positions range from ‘’pharmacy assistant trainees, Christmas support team members through to the roles of retail assistants and delivery drivers’’. Furthermore, a large percentage of these specific job types are all based in South Yorkshire, surrounding the areas of Barnsley, Sheffield and Leeds. Each of these areas will naturally advertise availabilities in their own cities, with the exception of an individual’s willingness to commute long distance for particular job descriptions; for anyone who would be interested.

Many local and established businesses will be hiring new employees in the upcoming months throughout multiple companies, ranging from national supermarkets including ‘’Morrisons, Asda and Lidl’’, followed by local retail branches such as: ’Next, Sports Direct and Zara’’. All of the vacancies listed above along with many more, can be found on either jobsite with a straightforward application process that could help to raise that little extra cash this year; in order to make Christmas as enjoyable as ever under the current circumstances.

Each and every town in the UK can be found on both websites, followed by a number of positions with an hourly salary starting from minimum wage upwards. Despite the rapid increase in unemployment throughout this annual year, the overall number of job roles available have ultimately begin to take a positive turn. This is due to a wide variety of companies that are preparing to hire multiple individuals to join their team, as business’ eagerly await the release of the current lockdown restrictions.
