Baby boy is rushed to hospital and left with severe burns when a firework was rocketed at his pram and exploded in his face.

Mum Nicole aged 22 was out with her son Alfie West in Sheffield and was approached by a young man who aimed a firework at Alfie’s pram and fired it towards them.
Nicole tried to get her son out of the way but the firework reached the pram before she could do anything which left her son with burns on his eyes, back, arms and neck.
Nicole’s mother, Jill Turner, came forward and spoke saying her daughter had been left ‘traumatised’ by the event and hasn’t left her home since.
This incident took place near Sheffield city centre at 1:30 in the afternoon on Sunday the 7th of November not long after bomb-fire night.
It is believed that a young boy aged 9 approached the mum and her son and fired the rocket at them.
Jill has said that her daughter tried to move herself and Alfie out of the way of the firework.
“Luckily, she had wrapped hum up warm in lots of clothes, so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been as his clothing stopped a lot of it.
“Alfie was in shock-he went into like a sleep and wouldn’t wake up, but after half an hour he started to come around and then he got taken to hospital. The police went with him. They took his clothes for evidence”.
Once Alfie and Nicole got to hospital they were checked over by the doctors who found the burns on Alfie’s body.
Luckily there wasn’t any damage to his eyesight.
