Magic of the FA cup

Marine, who play in the eighth tier of English football have drawn premier league giants, Tottenham in the FA cup.

Marine are only the second eighth tier side to reach the third round of the FA cup. And they got handed a dream tie as they will host premier league leaders at home. The tie will take place between the 9th to the 11th of January 2021.

Marines boss Neil Young described the draw as “unbelievable”. He stated that Jose Mourinho usually puts out a strong outfit in the cup no matter who their opponent is but said they will plan the best they can.

Tottenham reached the number one spot in the premier league this weekend following a 0-0 draw with fellow challenges Chelsea and will respect Marine going into this tie as they have not won any silver wear for some time now and the pressure is building.

Fellow non-league side, Chorley will host Wayne Rooney’s struggling Derby whilst Stockport have the home advantage against premier league West Ham.
