Glassworks open in Barnsley

On the 9th of September 2021 the glassworks in Barnsley town centre opened.

As it stands there are only 4 shops that are currently open, these being Sports Direct, JD Sports, Next and TK Max. Flannels which is a clothing brand are set to be opening their shop which will be located in the glassworks shopping centre. More shops are set to open in a few months time. One of the shops that has been conformed to open soon is Flannels.

For food and drinks the Market Kitchen upstairs in the glassworks has been opened for a while, it has a large seating area and multiple restaurant stops around so you can go and order food and bring it back to your table and enjoy some delicious food. There are foods from all different cuisines. As well as this, a Nando’s is set to open up later on in the year.

As well as the shops opening up there is also going to be a Cineworld and Bowling alley in the glassworks towards the start of the 2022 which is sure to attract more people to Barnsley town centre.

The new centre offers more space for members of the public to sit down on benches along with more open space to prevent crowds forming.

The Glassworks was meant to be opening in 2020 but due to the pandemic people had to stay home which of course delayed the opening date.
