Luton, Norwich and Middleborough are amongst the teams who are allowing 1000 fans into stadiums for this weekend’s fixtures.

Following a successful trial last weekend at Cambridge, the EFL have decided to allow 1000 fans attend ten games this weekend and if successful, the number of games will rise above ten. Only three games from the championship will allow these 1000 fans, Luton's clash against Derby,

The Norwich game against Preston and the Game between Middleborough and Bournemouth. In league one there will be four games which allow fans; this includes the Charlton game against Doncaster Rovers, Blackpool's game against Swindon, Shrewsbury against Northampton and Hull taking on league one new comers Crewe. Then there will be three games in league two allowing fans into the game, Forest Green against Bradford, Carlisle against the struggling Southend and Morecambe against the team that allowed this to happen, Cambridge.

The EFL chairman Rick Parry said, "The health and well-being of supporters and their wider communities remains the priority, but as we showed at Cambridge, social distancing can be applied safely.”

The EFL are aiming to have fans back at every game in the EFL as soon as possible but also want to ensure the safety of fans is guaranteed. At the moment the EFL are ahead of schedule as they aimed to allow fans back in for October which is still two weeks away.
