Borussia Dortmund’s five nil thrashing of Besiktas wasn’t enough to secure they’re space in the next round of the competition finishing third in the group, behind Ajax and Sporting Lisbon. The Dutch giants claimed top spot finishing of a perfect group stage campaign when

beating Lisbon 4-2 on home soil. Meaning they, like Liverpool, also won all six group games.
