Biden gets started on action plan whilst Trump refuses to concede

President-elect Joe Biden has already gotten to work when it comes to the state of the USA regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. He has also revealed his transition team consisting of 500 appointees who will work to create a smooth transition into The White House after he is inaugurated in January 2021.

Despite plans moving forward after news sources projected Joe Biden as the winner of this year’s US election, President Donald Trump proceeds with his claims of voter fraud and refuses to concede. Though the Trump campaign is continuing to file several lawsuits against a handful of states, they are yet to provide any hard evidence.

For example, in the state of Pennsylvania there were distance requirements put in place to protect poll watchers from the coronavirus, meaning that whilst others were counting votes they would be watching from a distance of six meters. The Trump Campaign have claimed that this was an attempt to try and rig the votes being counted, however election officials have insisted that they were completely transparent and even had frequent livestreams that gave a closer view of the counters.

There was also concern from the Trump Campaign regarding mail in ballots, as Pennsylvania ruled they would allow ballots arriving up until the 6th November, as long as they were postmarked on or before election day. This is due to delays regarding Covid, however the Trump Campaign view it as attempted voter fraud. Ballots received after election day have been kept to one side, meaning that they weren’t mixed with other postal votes and state officials have claimed they received just over 10,000 ballots after election day. This means that even if the Trump campaign were successful in rejecting these ballots, it still would not be enough to erase Biden’s win in the state.

Even though it appears President Trump is doing everything in his power to change the result of the election, the Biden Campaign has already began setting plans in motion and have stated they have no fear when it comes to these lawsuits and are prepared to take legal action if it comes to it.
