Police investigation launched to find suspect of burglary

Police are investigating a burglary to find who ruined the home of a nurse finishing a 12-hour shift.

After 25 years in the doctors and nursing industry, Joanne Birkinshaw, is now left “devastated and broken”. She came home to find that a rock had been thrown through her window and that her house had been broken into. Losing a lot of sentimental items, she explains when she brazened the burglary "it finally broke me".

"Last week it snowed, and I ran to work”, "Then after I finished giving vaccinations to staff, I ran back home."

"If you gave me a million pounds it can't replace anything that has gone." – she referred to her late mother’s jewellery that had been take in and amongst the terrible theft.

South Yorkshire Police is investigating and have urged anyone with information to get in touch.
