Last night Lizzie left the Great British Bake Off tent after ‘free-from week’, with the bakers making dairy-free ice cream, meat-free sausage rolls and gluten-free cakes.
The quarter-final has now finished with all of the bakers smashing each challenge making it difficult for the judges to decide on who should leave the Bake Off tent.
After the difficult decision it was decided that Lizzie would be the one to leave the tent, and giving Chigs star baker as he came first place in the technical challenge when making meat-free sausage rolls and make an outstanding show stopper at the end of the episode.
‘A huge well done to Chigs. Its definitely a close call at the top (and the bottom) this week, but he truly deserved the win- and this sets him up as a prime contender for the final!’. Commented someone on The Guardian website.
Many fans are gutted seeing Lizzie leave the tent as she was a fan-favourite.
‘Lizzie! What a sad, sad day- one of the most original, quirky bakers we’ve seen in the tent in a long time. She had her head screwed firmly on, stayed true to herself and always up for a laugh.’ Commented one viewer.
All of the bakers produced some of the best bakes in a long time, most of the recipes have been added to the Great British Bake-Off website as judges were stunned at how amazing they were.
As the final is fast approaching, bakers are being challenged more with harder bakes coming their way.
Now it seems like all of the contestants that are left are now fan-favourites meaning that it will be heard hitting when someone leaves the tent.
